Labor Day Play and Harvest

I was invited to join Teri and the girls at the circus Saturday morning. I left Pat at home to polish his homily. See my shutterfly page for pictures of circus: http://loryspics.shutterfly.com/ Saturday evening was a wonderful experience. I shared music with fellow christians to help call and lead God's people in our liturgy and enjoying my wonderful hubby's homily during Mass. We then came home to a dinner of left overs and farm fresh veggies. Today, Sunday, while Pat is at church I will be figuring out how to process and preserve some of this produce. (missing in the pictures are 3 more cucumbers, bell peppers, zucchini, tomatillas, and green beans)

I made salsa to freeze (tomotoes, tomatillas, onions, peppers), eggrolls for lunch (green cabbage, some carrots & onions), and canned homemade pickle relish (cucumbers, bell peppers, onions). We did fit in a short walk in between rain showers with, of course, an ice cream cone.
Egg rolls for lunch and crock full of salsa-Pat and I like the cooked salsa.10 jars of pickle relish.

Still a lot to process, but that will have to wait until tomorrow, I'm clocking out to watch a movie with my hubby!
