Over 50 and my 1st blog

Since I'm over 50 now, I decided it's time to start my own blog. I also decided to have a midlife purchase-or at least blame one on my husband. As a fan of adventure, and after receiving a commitment to taking me on more adventures...I helped my hubby get a new toy. We were going out to dinner Friday night to celebrate our anniversary (26 wonderful years). On the way to dinner, I reminded Pat that he had wanted to show me something at the Harley place. It was still early, so we stopped in before dinner. They had sold one of the bikes Pat wanted to show me....but! they were putting together another one in the back. Of course, they didn't expect it to take long to sell either. If we were interested, we should take a look at it. I told Pat we had time to look at it...until I saw the color. Oh, was it beautiful. My favorite color! I was good and didn't say anything right away. We calmly talked about the pros and cons...It was soooo pretty! Pat came up with all the reasons it would be a good fit for us. And they had a deck of cards the same color with cool lightning that is fun to watch when you shuffle them. Guess what, they threw in the deck of cards! We brought it home Sunday. To more misadventure in the 2nd half a century of my life!

  1. Over 50 and getting your first blog comment. Congradulations. I can't wait until I get a mid-life purchase. I'll have to start saving up now. I think they should start a high-end card shop where they'll throw in a motorcycle with your purchase. I wish you were bringing it out here, Holly and I have a great little ride we'd like to take you through that shows off the beautiful Palouse. Happy trails.

  2. I thought about that-but it would have a hard time towing the boat! Too many toys? I can't blame it all on you Dad though-this one was my fault kind of. He was being very methodical and I really wanted him to have one that fit right. I'm half scared and half excited (maybe 2/3 happy for him and 1/3 scared)
